It is important to provide youth a well-balanced experience with quality academics and character-building extra-curricular activities. EEC supports and recommends programs that are fun, as well as help youth to build and practice skills of self-awareness, self-management, building relationships, social awareness and responsible decision-making. These skills are the core social-emotional learning competencies. EEC offers programs with this focus and supports the development of programs that embed these competencies in activities.
